Sarawak Heart Foundation welcomes Sarawak Premier as its Patron

Sarawak Heart Foundation has appointed Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg as its Patron effective 15 April 2026. The appointment was formally conveyed during a courtesy call by the Foundation Board of Trustees at the Satria Pertiwi Complex here on 16 June 2026.

Foundation chairman Datuk Amar Prof Dr Sim Kui Hian who is also the Deputy Premier, presented Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari with the official letter of appointment as the Foundation Patron and introduced the Board of Trustees to him.

Datuk Amar Prof Dr Sim Kui Hian expressed the Foundation’s appreciation to Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari for accepting the appointment, noting that his patronage will further strengthen the Foundation’s role in promoting heart health and healthy lifestyles throughout Sarawak.

He briefed him on the Foundation’s role and future direction in raising awareness on heart health, preventing cardiovascular diseases and complementing the State Government’s endeavours in the care of patients with heart disease in Sarawak.
