Sarawak Heart Foundation’s COVID-19 Initiative

Sarawak Heart Foundation is answering the call of Sarawak General Hospital who is in need of foodstuff and various necessities for its frontliners in the face of COVID 19. Foodstuff consisting of instant noodles, biscuits and Milo were delivered to 300 nurses and doctors and 300 support staff invoved in the sanitation and maintenance of the hospital on 22 March 2020. Mugs and spoons and forks were sent over on 23 March 2020.

Sarawak Heart Foundation distributed caps on 24 March to volunteers of Federation of Chinese Associations, Kuching who is handling the collection and delivery of foodstuff and necessities to the staff of Sarawak General Hospital.

The Foundation hopes that other NGO and corporate bodies will come forth to show support to the nurses and support service staff in all the public hospitals in Sarawak especially those which have been designated Covid-19 medical centres and not just SGH.
