  • Manikins for Sarawak General Hospital

    Sarawak Heart Foundation has donated 12 units of manikins to Sarawak General Hospital. The manikins consisting of seven units of CPR Manikin ½ Body Little Anne and five units of Infant Manikin Little Baby cost Rm20,100. They are needed for the Basic Life Support courses for the staff in the hospital. The manikins were handed over to Dr Vanitha Kandasamy of Sarawak General Hospital at a simple ceremony at Sarawak Heart Centre on 2 April 2024.   • Sarawak Heart Foundation’s COVID-19 Initiative

      Sarawak Heart Foundation is answering the call of Sarawak General Hospital who is in need of foodstuff and various necessities for its frontliners in the face of COVID 19. Foodstuff consisting of instant noodles, biscuits and Milo were delivered to 300 nurses and doctors and 300 support staff invoved in the sanitation and maintenance of the hospital on 22 March 2020. Mugs and spoons and forks were sent over on 23 March 2020. Sarawak Heart Foundation distributed caps on 24 March to volunteers of Federation of Chinese Associations, Kuching who is handling the collection and delivery of foodstuff and necessities to the staff of Sarawak General Hospital.   • Wire-Free Fractional Flow Reserve System For Sarawak Heart Centre

    Sarawak Heart Foundation handed over a Wire-Free Fractional Flow Reserve System (wf-FFR) to Sarawak Heart Centre on 15 January 2020.  The wf-FFR, used to assess the degree of severity of blockages in the coronary artery, costs RM199,800.00.  This sponsorship brings the total value of medical equipment donated by the Foundation to the Heart Centre since 2011 to RM2.66 million. The wf-FFR can be used for up to 400 patients. With this new technology, there is nearly no risk of perforation of the coronary artery compared to the conventional FFR that requires the use of a wire.   • Masjid India Kuching Joins LIGHT UP RED

    World Heart Day 2019 saw another landmark in Kuching light up as a show of support for healthy hearts.  Masjid India Kuching or better known as the Floating Mosque joined Jambatan Darul Hana and Fort Margherita in lighting up for a week from 21- 29 September 2019.    Sarawak Heart Foundation thanks Department of Islamic Religious Affairs Sarawak, Kuching Waterfront and The Commission of the City of Kuching North for their support in the light up of their respective properties.
