About Us

The Sarawak Heart Foundation was set up in 1996 as a charity to promote a heart-healthy community in Sarawak.

Core Activities

  • Provide financial assistance to needy heart patients in Sarawak for heart treatment and operations, in or outside Sarawak.
  • Purchase and donate to public hospitals in Sarawak medical  equipment needed for recuperation and rehabilitation of heart patients
  • Offer grants or sponsorships to public hospitals, institutions of higher learning and professionals in the medical field to enable them to do research on heart-related diseases.
  • Educate the public in Sarawak about heart disease, on prevention, identification, treatment and cure through health screenings, seminars, talks, road shows and publications.

The Foundation organises seminars, exhibitions, public forums, health screenings and physical campaigns to raise public awareness of heart and heart-related diseases.

The Foundation works together with the Heart Foundation of Malaysia, the Ministry of Health, hospitals and local Government agencies as well as the private sector, in carrying out its activities throughout Sarawak.
